We had a fantastic weekend at this cosy cottage in the Lake District. the location was perfect for exploring nearby towns and villages, and we enjoyed visiting Grange, over, Sands and Cartmel. the cottage was warm and inviting, with a wood fire burner in the lounge that added a lovely touch. the kitchen was well equipped for self, catering, and we appreciated the breakfast basics provided. the free Wi, fi was a bonus, and our dogs also loved the cottage.
The only small issue was that the curtains in the main bedroom let in too much light in the mornings.

We got excellent value for our money at The Stopping Point- Exceptional Cumbrian Cottage. The room was beautifully decorated and had everything we needed, including a well-equipped kitchen and a selection of welcome goodies. The location was perfect for exploring the south lakes and Cartmel area, and the staff treated us incredibly well, consistently checking in to ensure our stay was enjoyable.
The only thing that could have made the breakfast better at The Stopping Point was if there were a wider variety of breakfast items to choose from.

My stay at this exceptional Cumbrian cottage was absolutely delightful. From the moment I arrived, I felt like I was in a home away from home. The cottage was meticulously clean and had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. I especially appreciated the thoughtful welcome package and the treats for my furry friend. The location was perfect, with everything within walking distance. Despite the lack of off-street parking, I had no trouble finding a spot right outside the cottage. The host was incredibly helpful and always available when I needed assistance. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I highly recommend this wonderful cottage for a cozy getaway.

The cottage in a quaint village is beautifully decorated and well equipped. the kitchen is superb, with sharp knives and a range of cooking equipment. the cottage is also well-suited for families, with a travel cot, high chair, and a toy/games cupboard. Flookburgh is a great base for exploring the South Lakes and Cartmel area. Local amenities, such as the bakery around the corner, add to the convenience of the location.
One minor observation is the steep staircase and unusual mini-landing, which may pose a challenge for young children or those with mobility issues during nighttime bathroom visits.
